- Pere Jou

The infinite body
Costanza Givone
13.06 - 17.06.2022
09:30 - 11:00
Studio 2 Ground Floor
The limit, in math, is the fixed quantity of a variable that approaches indefinitely, without never reaching it. I believe that the creation of limits in a creative process, instead of restricting possibilities, it increases them, allowing the creator or performer a deep dive within borders that will never be reached, considering the infinite matter of which human creativity is made. Taking this concept as a starting point, I will propose an intense physical training, to activate the different layers of the body and awaken a deep listening of the infinite creative possibilities that arise from the creation of physical or procedural limits. - Costanza Givone

Singularity
Allan Falieri
20.06 - 23.06.2022
09:30 - 11:00
Studio 2 Ground Floor
I believe that dance is the link capable of uniting us through our uniqueness. In this sense, I have been developing a practice of movement where performers and students can recognize their potential, develop them and learn from the diversities in a safe, relaxed and physically demanding space. The sessions are structured in three moments: 1) Alignment and motor coordination; 2) Muscle and aerobic strengthening; 3) Movement research, through games, sequences and improvisation tools. The objective of this meeting, in addition to physical preparation, is well-being and the exchange of experiences. - Allan Falieri

Fluage - Physical preparation and improvisation
Malena Albarracin
27.06 - 28.06.2022
09:30 - 11:00
Studio 2 Ground Floor
In Fluage classes I will share Physical Preparation and Improvisation in Dance Theatre tools. Physical preparation, in addition to allowing us to condition the body for movement and take care of kinetic health, inherently brings a lot of creative power. Let's take advantage of the limits that each exercise proposes to expand our inspiration and find our own narratives. I invite you to try this tensegric, empathic and functional way of training that I have been developing with a lot of passion! - Malena Albarracin

Voice-Body-Voice
Pere Jou
29.06 - 30.06.2022
09:30 - 11:00
Studio 2 Ground Floor
In this workshop we will work on the relationship between voice and body. We will try to explore beyond the preexistent connections between both releasing the full potencial of the voice.
Tradition has settle ways of using the voice establishing what does it mean to sing good and bad. Therefore the use of the voice has been reserved for those who "know how to sing". In this workshop we intend to unlock these frustrating concepts and we will do it by thinking the sound of the voice as movement: Embodying the voice.
The practice will start by establishing a wide diaframatical breath. Then we will move to expand the notion of armonic and unarmonic sound. At the same time we will move the voice in the space and by doing so we will work on the different possibilities in the voice-movement relationship: literally, opposed, abstracted...
This workshop is addressed to movers, performers, makers, choreographers who want to approach to the usages of the voice and its possibilities within its relationship with the body. Here, the notion of "singing good" or "being on tune" have no value so everybody is welcome. - Pere Jou
